What does the initial training include?

Our training is fully tailored to your café's needs. We cover everything from espresso fundamentals and milk techniques to latte art, equipment maintenance, and menu development. Whether you're opening a new café or leveling up your existing team, we design the program around your specific goals.

Who leads the training?

Josiana Bernardes from ID Coffee Lab leads all our training programs. With over 10 years of experience and work across 8+ coffee-producing countries, she brings a unique perspective that spans from production to the cup. All our courses are backed by SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) certification.

Is this different from standard SCA courses?

Yes. While we offer SCA-certified content, our consulting goes beyond certifications. We focus on the practical realities of running a café — from optimizing your workflow and training your full team to developing menus that work for your market. It's hands-on guidance tailored to your business, not a one-size-fits-all course.

How long are the programs?

It depends on your needs. We offer one-day intensives for focused training, as well as multi-week programs for comprehensive team development. During your free assessment call, we'll recommend the right format based on your goals and timeline.

Can you train my entire team?

Absolutely — that's what we specialize in. We train owners, managers, and front-of-house staff together so everyone shares the same foundation and standards. This creates consistency across your service and makes ongoing quality control much easier.

Where does the training take place?

We're flexible. Training can happen at your café (ideal for team training and working with your actual equipment) or at the ID Coffee Lab training facility in Madrid. We'll figure out what works best during your assessment call.
